Movies

Awards season is here! As much as I can't wait to see the looks on the red carpet, it also made me think back to my favourite fashion from films. So it sparked this little picspam! From 70's flares & fringes to 90's dungarees & denim and everything in between, I love movies for not only engaging its audiences through great storytelling and dynamic performances but also for the inspiring fashion they present...These are only a FEW of my inspirations, I'm sure there's millions more and I'd love for you to share!

  6. Lama, your blog is amazing!!

Besides putting your blog on my roll - so I can find you easily - I'm now risking being late for yoga while trying to work out what films these are. That bottom shot - Leo is so young there! And that's what's his name, I love him - totally blanking on the name on the left. What is that film???

Second from bottom, that's the iconic Brat Pat film. I thought for a second that my first true love's brother wrote it - he wrote the Karate Kid based on my boyfriend - but that's Coppola's The Outsiders (and Ralph Macchio's in it, that's what confused me. His brother wrote another early one - Taps).

Thanks for your lovely comment - I'm not on my blog (or blogs in general) as much as I used to, but I'll be back here. So your boyfriend does the photography for the self style shots? He's great. Lucky you. It's pulling teeth getting my husband to shoot me and I always look so angry in the shots!

This is an incredibly intelligent and well edited - and obscure - collection. I recognise Natalie Portman from that great Luc Bresson film- her first - but what is the film Scarlett Johansson is in in the top shot?

I am so late for yoga.
