Sales Done Good

Bomber: Topshop, Jumper & Scarf: H&M, Jeans: American Apparel,
Boots: YesStyle, Lipstick: Mexican Wave (Topshop)

I lucked out in the January sales, this wonderful black bomber jacket was only around £20! And well don't think I have to mention how bombers are doing right now among bloggers...ha, but I just like it because its an alternative to my leather jacket on colder days. The bright green jumper was also bought in the sales...£5!!! How crazy is that? Although this Spring its all B&W, I think I'm still going to walk around in this bright baby. To prove I have possibly an actual shopping addiction, I was queuing to get the jumper and you know those evil little bits and bobs they have whilst you que? Well, I'm a sucker for them. I HAD to pick up this scarf, come on it goes so well with the jumper! ;) But really I need to stop spending money I don't have, the latest purchase I've made are these black boots from yesstyle, and I've promised myself they shall be the last thing I buy for a while! Although I love them, and they're super comfy, I'm gutted I've scratched them already! Next week hopefully I start working and with my first paycheck?

CANON.

Pre-Fall Collections

Images from wwd, edited by me

These are just some of my favourite pieces from all the latest Pre-Fall '13 collections that have been released. Not that I've completely grasped WHEN you'd actually have time to wear the items and how you can even AFFORD to purchase Pre-Fall items and then start your A/W '13 collection...but a girl can still dream right? I've chosen these particular looks because they feel like statement pieces that you can wear all the way through to Autumn and Winter and basically your whole life, (slight exaggeration?) Black, whites and greys, all in turtleneck if possible. Oh and tailored to the max, kthnx. Not forgetting of course to include splashes of glossy, rich earthly colours.

Do you have any favourites?

Inspiration

This is a weird bag of random inspiration I have for this week. But I shall try to give appropriate reasons for each...The first image just made me crave a nose piercing even more than I already did. Maybe not the 'bull ring' type like hers, but a little hoop in the corner...but realistically I don't think I will get one yet for many uncomplicated reasons...*sigh*. The Breakfast at Tiffany's screen capture just makes me glad I recently bought the lipstick 'Mexican Wave' by Louise Gray, orange is defiantly my new red at the moment. I cant stop thinking about denim on denim, and whilst browsing Hanneli's older posts, it just reminded me why it works so well.

Urm. Does that image even need an explanation  A little girl is wearing a snakeskin leather dress with a Chanel bag by her side. What is my life? Also she kind of makes me want to get a  pair of trainers, never thought I'd say that as I'm defiantly not on this wedge-sneaker, Airmax or New Balance *insert any other popular trend* wave. Lastly Ashley Olsen proving why she's probably my preferred twin, as much as I appreciate Mary-Kate's boho vibe, Ashley is classier and more understated in my opinion. I feel to throw out my whole wardrobe and only buy black, white and grey. But of course I won't. Because I'm more broke than I care to think about.

Gallery

Glasses, Top & Coat: Vintage, Chinos: Urban Outfitters,
Socks: American Apparel, Shoes: Shoe Embassy

Yesterday I went to the Tate Modern (state owned British art gallery) to see the updated exhibitions. That could be why I subconsciously decided to dress like an art student...or school teacher. These baggy beige chinos were brought from Urban Outfitters a few years ago, but there's a similar pair by Maison Scotch on sale right HERE! I like how the Breton stripes are a different colour to the usual navy and white ones you always see, it complimented the trousers don't ya think? The brogues are crafted with such amazing detail, plus they are so incredibly comfortable, the website for the Shoe Embassy is currently being worked on, but I urge you to check it out soon! After the gallery me and the boyfriend walked around to see that ol' chap...where is his head?! Hehe.

Oh and I had delicious Spiced Latte, perfect!

Matchy

Top: Vintage, Cardigan: Zara, Trousers & Boots: Topshop, Bag: Mulberry

An outfit from 2012 that just reminded me what I miss the most about Autumn...burgundy. That day I'd helped a friend shoot her A/W Lookbook and naturally my cameras battery gave out, so this was shot on an iphone. I teamed my go to smart trousers from Topshop with this colour-block cardi found in Zara a few years ago. And what outfit is complete without a Mulberry? Yes, I still sleep with it at night...sometimes.

Where is My White Winter?

Jumper, Necklace and Shoes: New Look, Jeans: Miss Selfridge

So I was going to call this post 'Winter Whites' but then I realised how many bloggers I've seen with that kinda title in the past week, so I called it 'Where is My White Winter?' because, well its Winter and there is no snow in London! Just lots and lots of rain and wind. I had some good luck in this years sales, usually I really dislike the massive crowds, rude elbows shoving me, tacky items that are on sale for a reason etc...but I stuck it out and found this beautiful fluffy white jumper in New Look, I've been looking for something like this for a while so was delighted when I saw it! Also the gem, gold, pearly necklace is just TOO cute, and at £6 how could I not?! The shoes are also from New Look, but from a while back, I teamed it with an all white outfit standing outside the white front door because the wind was so crazy, I was afraid to leave, ha! I can't wait to show you guys bits and bobs from Christmas, hope you got nice things and not just socks!

Hair Inspiration

I'm probably the most indecisive person in the world. Or at LEAST in the top 10...so when it comes to hair I've done it all. I had a bob as a kid, long thick hair as a pre-teen, a perm, bangs/fringe, brunette, red head, black, dip-dye, mid length the list is endless! I really adore long, curly thick hair but then would love poker straight, middle parted ombre hair! But at the same time I want my mid length with bangs back! Goodness knows how I even have any hair left, ha!

Burberry S/S '13

Jumper: New Look, Skirt: Miss Selfridge, Watch: Casio, Boots: Topshop

Okay so I know I am insanely late posting an outfit all the way back from the S/S '13 Shows, but what can I say I didn't even start this blog during Fashion Week! I was going through images on my desktop, (desperately trying to find ANY decent quality photos to post...I really should get my own camera, like. now.) And well I found these from the Burberry Prorsum S/S '13 Show which I was so fortunate enough to attend, (my first and only fashion show ever!) and well lets say this outfit was decided through sheer panic, I decided to go with a look that was simple and hard to get wrong. Comfy grey jumper, midi bodycon skirt and added Topshop boots for some much needed height! I can't wait for the next Fashion Week, now that I am in this game baby I shall be pestering those PR agencies like there's no tomorrow!
